Jim O'Gorman
FOUNDER
Mr. O'Gorman's career began at New Jersey Bell Telephone where he held management positions in Sales and Engineering. He became an independent telecommunications consultant in 1980 and in 1988 co-founded Communications Engineering in New York City. He has been President since 1991.
Jim has provided consulting advice to federal and state institutions, universities and colleges, as well as firms in the legal, financial, publishing, health care and entertainment fields. He has been providing subject matter expertise in cellular communications to the United States Military Academy since 2007.
While at West Point, Mr. O’Gorman has worked with Chief Information Officers to introduce and oversee the installation and expansion of the Distributed Antennas System currently operating in 25 buildings and covering over 4 million square feet. He has also done the same for the macro cell sites at Michie Stadium and the training camps. His latest assignment is to introduce 5G coverage by all major carriers in the central and cantonment areas on post.
Jim served in the NY Army National Guard from 1971 to 1977 as a field wireman and radio operator. He holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame and an MBA in Marketing from Fairleigh Dickinson University.

Liam O'Gorman

Mr. Liam O'Gorman has consulted in telecommunications networking for the last 22 years.
Liam has provided consulting advice to federal and state institutions, universities, and colleges, as well as firms in the legal, financial, publishing, health care and entertainment fields. He has been providing subject matter expertise in cellular communications to the United States Military Academy since 2019.
While at West Point, Mr. O’Gorman has worked with Chief Information Officer and Deputy CIO and was the Project Manager for the acquisition process including required military, state and federal regulations, engineering design and approval processes and installation of two cellular towers at the West Point training camps. He has also been engaged in the upgrading and expansion of the Distributed Antenna Systems at the academy. His latest assignment is to introduce 5G coverage by all major carriers in the central and cantonment areas on post.
Liam holds a BS Information Systems from Fairfield University and numerous Microsoft and Cisco training certificates.
